hey. have been busy these days. Since i've started working, i dont have much time to blog nowadays. Nevertheless, i'm blogging now. So, how's work and everything u ask? yeah, work is good. I love my work. Suka kecoh2. hahaha. but u know, there will always be days when u just dont wanna go to work, and there will always be those who will bug you in everyway they could. Anyways, i'm enjoying it. every bit of it. i'm currently attached under clinical, which means, i will have to go up to the wards and follow the rounds. With specialists and medical/house officers. i enjoy it. I enjoy listening to their discussion, enjoy trying to understand how they interpret the Xray-film, CT film.. hmmm.. i'm amazed they could see what i couldnt. hahahaha. And the best part is, being questioned about drugs, dosage, side effects, how to administer, when to administer etc. That should be my area of specialty. Although i have to admit that i most of the time have to rely on books to answer all their queries, but i'm glad.. i'm actually contributing. kan? Ketaq gak lutut. Bukan lutut je, tangan pon habis ketaq. tp jawab mesti yakin. Salah pon, yakin. tapi mesti betulkan, dan dengan yakin. heh.
i was in ICU for 2 weeks. How i wished i could stay longer.. i enjoy the rounds so much. The ICU team, they are really good, and the best thing is they really respect pcists' say. Good. And, seeing all the patients in the ICU, really got me 'insaf'. Its just sad, looking at the patients attached with so many wires onto the body, with all the beepings from the ventilators, pressure monitors and etc. Because they are all intubated, the nurses will have to perform suction from their throat for aspirate. and u know, its actually painful. worse still, when they contract bugs from the hospital environment itself, nosocomial infection and these bugs are usually resistant to many antibiotics which leaves the docs antibiotics with increased risk of organ damage. Some survived, some didnt. Its just sad to know that the patient couldnt survive. Insaf.
That was ICU. Now, i'm attached under the Infectious Disease Ward. We are the referral center for patients with retroviral disease. So, i could say that 90% of patients in the ward are RVD +ve patients. Semua ada. Melayu, Cina, India. And they come in with all sorts of weird infections, ones that normal people dont get, but they do. if u're in the medical line, u'll understand when they say, opportunistic infections. Its a bit scary though. 3 days in the ward, my eyes became very itchy. i dont know whether its just me, or its the ward itself.but everytime i go up into the ward, i'll start rubbing my eyes, and it does scare the ***t out of me. Anyways, no matter how they contract the disease, i hope they will have enough time to ask for Forgiveness from Allah and that Allah will help them during the time of death. Let Us all make doa that Allah will make it easy for all of us.
Sometimes, we should look at these people. When u talk to them, u can sense the feelings of regret in the patients, only that it is too late. sedihkan? Jadi, kita2 yang sehat ni, lets count our blessings. And lets become an obedient servant to Allah. Mungkin kita kene bawak anak2 kita ziarah these RVD+ve patients to teach them to value life. Dont do drugs, dont do prostitutes, sex rambang and homosexual/bisexual relationship.tolong la jangan. sedih melihat. let us learn from their mistakes and lets not do the same mistakes, can we? Kita ada Tuhan, Jadikan Dia sebagai tujuan hidup so that our lives will be more meaningful and be blessed, with Allah's will. ameen.
thats enuff for today.till then. ciao
