Make Du'a

Derbyshire

I wasn't really finished with the previous post. But anyways, we are now a lot more settled. I think we are here for almost two months. And I can't thank Allah enough for all that He has blessed us with.

The first week in Derby, we were greeted with snow. It was a cold spell throughout the island. And the snow here in Derby was ankle-deep. The days were very cold with temperatures plunging down below 0 degree. Alhamdulillah, we survived without much complaints. Hehe. Tool the kids for a feel of playing in the snow, making snowman. Hamza was so excited he started a snow-fight. Cute. The cold spell lasted for 2 weeks or maybe less.

Other than that, we've met Malaysians studying here. And there are 6 of them including the husband. We get together rather often. Cook something for all of us, share some laughs and our experiences and jokes. It is all different but otherwise good.

But u know, what is life without challenges? What is the meaning of studying if you already know the answer to everything, right? And that too we didn't miss. Life can never be easier nor difficult. But when it does, one just have to brave through it. And yeah. But I am very positive with all the hardships because I believe hardships make u become only a better person.

And being faraway from the usual daily routine, familial support especially with the kids, makes things very different. We have to sort the kids all on our own. And truth is, they are just right under our nose 24 7. After a while, it can get to your nerves. No movie outing, no lunch or dinner for just me and the husband. Heh. But hey.. I am not complaining. I have never felt more content with my life. I am so grateful for the time i have with the husband and kids. Priceless. I am so relaxed. I don't mind doing the chores. I love it. I don't have to think about work, the mind is not exhausted, yeah and i love it. I don't take naps in the afternoon despite staying home.

Heh. I am praying for a smooth sailing adventure here with my beloved husband and my precious sons and unborn baby. May Allah bless us with more rezqi. Ameen.

Till then. Toodles

Baru

Assalamualaikum,

The weather has been urmm.. COLD. There's snow outside the house. Subhanallah. I thought the last time i saw snow was when i was 4 years old. And then.. 25 years later.

Yes, we are not in Malaysia. The husband was given the opportunity to further in Msc. and believe it or not, we decided to come to this foreign yet not so foreign land (to us, and to many that is). We are in Derby, England. Why Derby? Because this is one of the only place where the husband can do his course.

Honestly, coming to the country at THIS time of year is not so fun. Yeah, the snow, the leafless trees.. But it's just cold. The day is of course shorter than the night. The day starts at 830 am (thats when the Fajr ends) and it ends at 5pm. That's Isya'. Sesuai la untuk sape sape yang nak qada' puasa. huuuu.

The whole journey of COMING to this land has been so overwhelming. We left behind everything and everyone in Malaysia. Our parents, our brothers and sisters, our friends, relatives, neighbours, bebeh the cat.. well absolutely everything. But as many advised, don't look back. Look forward and enjoy the new journey and adventure. In shaa Allah it will make us become better beings.. as a whole.

PMS ke?

U know how sometimes every small things just annoys u tick u off. And that u end up  like a freaking monster.

That happened to me yesterday, with the kids. If I was even PMS-ing, i thought yesterday was by far, the littlest sabr i had for the kids. Horror. I was like this annoying bitch, barking over the smallest issue. Like How i'd just scream to Hamza to stop playing with his cars on the chair coz it was making rather annoying noise to the annoyed bitch. And i'd just go "Stop it Hamza. Stop doing that!!! Bisingla!!" Honestly, i didnt realize all that that i've done until the husband told me off and for the second time. "Whats wrong with you?" Huuuuuu.

And they went boycotting me. That actually helped me come back to my senses. The kids, they wouldnt come near me and they were having fun with their baba. I went nuts. Aaaaarggh. I was like, u crazzzy or what ya. They are just small kids and u're the adult. Ishhh. Astaghfirullah al Azim..

And poof. I wasn't the annoyed bitch anymore. Aiihhhh. In the firstbplace, why'd i let the satan take control. Haih. Mistake mistake. And i cannot let that happen again. No matter if u're PMS-ing or not or tired or stressed we must always have a lot of sabr in us. Because we are muslims.

Adoii

Yes. And that was a lesson-learnt for me. Lots of kisses for the husband. And to Hamza and Abbas, forgive ur mama for behaving far worse than a little child. I will work harder to be a better muslim so that I will be a better mama to the both of u. InsyaAllah.

I am watching football, final EURO2012 spain vs italy with the husband. And spain just scored the second goal. Yippeee. Bye all. Assalamualaikum.

Berleter

Random

What usually took me 20 minutes tp reach home from work became 45 minutes today. I seldom take the highway when going home but i felt like doing so today. There you go. Unfortunately for me, there was an incident, a trolley got caught on fire and the traffic build up... Aaaargh. Madness.

It's . I'll stick to the common route back home.
