Hamza's first swim

Hamza loves his bathing time so much. When he was smaller (and shorter in length, hehe), we bathe him in his tub. We bought him a recliner, and that made it alot easier for both, Hamza and us. Basically, he'll just relax away and enjoy his bath. His feet and hands'd go spleesh! splash! He'll kick the foams and he'll eat 'em. So, during the Christmas Hols, the family gathered in PD. We took the chance to take Hamza for his first swim. My sister pulak, gave him 3 swimming nappy! aaaah, Syukuuuur. *kang xpasal-pasal poo dalam pool kang. eeeww. We bought him a float, tapi besar for him since he couldn't sit properly. We still use it despite it being too big for him.

His Baba put him in his float, and u know, he didn't do much. He didn't paddle/swim. *maybe sebab air sejuk. But, it lasted for 5 minutes only. 5 minutes! His Baba took him out, wrapped him in his towel, and u guessed? He fell asleep almost immediately! hahahahaha.. Hamza, hamza. all his granduncles and grandaunties geram looking at him! The next day, he went swimming with Hammam. Hahahaha. This time, he stayed longer in the pool. Haih. My son, dah besar dah. How time flies.. hmmm..

In my car (float!)

Can we go now? Sejuk!! Bbbrrrr!!

Mama!! Come in and join me and baba!!

More and more Holidays

I have been extremely busy with work. Tak sempat nak update cerita. A lot of things happened this past few weeks. On top of that, we've been traveling a lot lately. Dari PD ke KL and then to Kuantan, back to KL again and then to Terengganu. Now we're back in KL again.

So, where did we actually go?
During the Christmas Holidays, my aunt and uncle rented two apartments at PNB Ilham Resort. *itu la tempat kami sekeluarga melepak. 4 out of 5 families joined the mini-reunion. Atuk and Wan came too. Mak Teh, had to go back to Kelantan because her mother inlaw was ill. Yeah. Plus my little family and my sisters(my brother in-law arrived from UK that very weekend, terus ke PD) 3 Babies altogether!! Everyone enjoyed the babies and the babies LOVE the attention too.  Everyone enjoyed it. The man in the families, played touch-rugby. The women? we cheered for our husbands and sons. The girls? They cheer for everyone.. Err.. kot. Malam-malam, my uncles and cousins berkaraoke dengan sakan. Happy. All of us were happy! Hamza? Mandi swimming pool. huhuhu.. Selesai sudah di Ilham Resort, my uncle brought us to this restaurant (ala, macam kedai mamak) somewhere in PD Town for lunch and we had superb Kari Kepala Ikan! Habis licin okay!!

Nak pass ke mana tu abang?!

  Tangkap Jang!

Yang ni, akan diceritakan dengan lebih lanjut nanti..

The week after, on new year's holidays, we stayed home. Penatla travel jauh kan. My husband spent his New year's eve with my cousin and brother berbelanja di Uptown Kota Damansara. I was sound asleep with Hamza. Saturday morning, we drove back to Kuantan. We went in 3 cars. My mother beria-ia nak bawak my brother in-law and the babies see her hometown, Kuantan. Kuantan for me, memang best. We arrived in Kuantan around 3pm. So, all of us headed straight to Teluk Cempedak. Had lunch, and brought the babies for a dip at the beach. Tak mandi la. But Hamza, Hammam dapat la merasa celup kaki dalam air laut. Anfaal? she sat in the air terus! And loved it! We too love to see her enjoying it. Habis bermandi-mandi, we headed to my aunts house. 5 mins drive from TC. Makan, tido, makan, borak-borak and by 7pm we headed back to Bukit Sekilau. Rehat-rehat. balik KL the next day.

Chicken Pox ke Teething?

I just got up some minutes ago. He woke me up several times, and now I just couldn't put myself back to sleep. He is though. I do not hope for this. But i think Hamza is not feeling well. It started off yesterday morning when changing his nappy. I noticed some coarsness in his voice and i think he had a bit of temperature as well. But, i thought that that's normal. Yelaaa, bangun pagi kan? Fed him as usual and left him for work. Since it was a friday, i came home earlier. Saw my mother trying to feed him his porridge. But, again, something was amiss. He didn't look excited like usual duing mealtime. and my mother said he slept for a good 4 hours that morning. Which to me, is a bit unusual and so unlike him. He'll usually sleep for a maximum of 3 hours.

On top of that, he only took 3 1/2 onz of EBM, his baba fed him around 12ish. He usually takes 7 onz of EBM at that time of day PLUS his porridge. I came home with an engorged breasts. On other days, i'd express on oneside and let him feed on the other. But this time, i fed him on both breasts coz he wasn't eating and drinking well. And fell asleep immediately. Weird kan?

Later when i came home from work, I asked my mother and was told that, He woke up at 3.00 pm, after i left for work, and played a bit and had his feed. he took 3 1/2 onz which lasted him for 2 hours and had another 3 1/2 onz before dozing off again at around 5ish. Memang sangatla xbiasa macam tu. Biasa dia bangun when we come home. And u know, I had to wake him up, coz it was already 730 pm and it's past his dinner time as well as bathing time. Dia mandi kol 630. But i managed to feed him and bathe him soon after i woke him up. He did take his porridge. Tapi slow sikit la.

I am pretty worried. My neice Anfaal was down with chicken pox 2-3 weeks ago. It was difficult for child quarantine. There were only 2 carers for 3 babies. My mother and my sister (the mother). So Hamza is already exposed to that. Hammam is now having pox now. Hmmm. Doa je la. If it comes out, fine. I hope it wouldn't be too bad. Praying for the best. Owh dear. As for now, I couldn't find any spots on his body. Mudah-mudahan takde lah.

hmmmm. Eh, Hamza is up. I need to feed him. Macam ni la rasanya dah jadi mak. Amazing. Thank you Allah. Thank you Allah.

Nursery for Hamza

yes.. I am.. I mean, we'll have to put him at a childcare center or a nursery starting May this year. Reason being, my mother is leaving for Cardiff.. Yes yes.. Again.. This time, it'll be longer. 2 months. My eldest sister needs help for her son. She'll be sitting for her finals sometime in May. And i obviously can't take leave for 2 months. Impossible.

So, i have to start scouting for a nursery or a babysitter to look after Hamza while mama and baba is away at work. So far, i am looking at nurseries. But you see, it is not as easy as that. I've found one in Kota Damansara. CIC. I've called them up. Unfortunately, they no longer offer that service. So, i have to start again.

help my mama and baba please

Anyone who lives in Kota Damansara? Suggestions? I definitely need help.

Kota Kinabalu

I have never been to Sabah.. ever.. So, during my confinement days, my colleague called up asking me if i want to go to Kota Kinabalu to attend a Conference on Rural Medicine. She told me, another colleague turned down the offer. Only to find out that, the participants will be taken to Kudat on the 3rd day of the conference. I hesitated initially, but after discussing with husband, I said yes. The condition is, I will have to bring husband and Hamza along with me. *No way i'm going to leave my baby (babies) behind. huhuhu..

2 and a half month later, we finally set our foot in Kota Kinabalu. Flight was good. *we flew by MAS. I was quite worried about Hamza. But, Alhamdulillah he was very well-behaved throughout our journey. We stayed in *Courtyard Hotel, 1Borneo. Its a good 30 mins drive from the town. But the good thing about it was, the hotel was just 5 mins drive to and fro UMS. The conference, it was a 3 day conference. No, 2 actually. The third day, UMS took us to their Rurak Medicine Education Center in Kudat. Fuuh, It was an amazing journey for us.

Kudat is only 100++ km from UMS. *according to Husband's GPS. But, it took us 3 and a half hours to reach Kudat! If in KL, it'd only take u what? 45 mins to an hour or so? The road was not so good and small. Sian sangat. But I am not complaining really because Hamza was such an angel! He is such a good boy. He didn't complain at all. They took us to the RMEC for closing ceremony and some prize giving. They fed us lunch and packed us with some food before we left for a few other places after that. Baik sangat. They took us to a Longhouse. It was more or less a demonstration about how they reach to these people in the rural area. Then, they took us to Bavanggazo Cultural Village. We were treated with a traditional dance of the People of Rungus. I bought some 'manik-manik' keychains. The rest were just too expensive. yeah.

Later, we went to the Tip of Borneo. Beautiful. Subhanallah. Its the meeting of two seas, the South China Sea and the Sulu Sea. They said that there's a line. In other words, the two seas does not mix. But we arrived nearing sunset. So I couldn't actually find the 'line'. Husband did. Took some photos, ate some icecreams, and then we headed back to Kota Kinabalu. We were all so exhausted from the journey. But i enjoyed every bit of it. So did Hamza and his baba. It was basically our first Holiday as a three! huhu.

I enjoyed the hospitality of the Sabahans. Very nice and kind. The School of Medicine UMS, they were so kind, to help arrange a van to send me back to the Hotel so that I could feed my son. Baik kan? yes. And best of all, All my love for my dear husband for helping me look after Hamza. Thank you abang for everything. I know, it is both our duty to look after our child. But, he was so positive throughout the conference. And i know he loves his son so much, dia bawak Hamza jalan-jalan. Very attentive and kind and loving. aaaah. And Hamza too. Such a good sport. sikit pon tak berdecit. good boy! Mama and Baba loves you so much!!

Eventhough we didn't get to jalan-jalan in KK, but i am glad we went. Next time, we'll know where to stay and how to get about in KK. We'll definitely come again, kan Abang? huhu.. I have to pen off now. Enjoy the pictures.
